I typed in the wrong social security number

HELP, i applied to Michigan, and I was going over my already submitted supplement, and I guess I filled in the wrong social security number on the sheet, what should I do?

I know this is a really stupid mistake, will it hurt me at all?

Call admissions! Tell them the mistake, and see if you can give them the correct SS#.

Don't worry about. You only have to make sure they have the right number if you decide to go there. My kids left that space blank on all their applications and never had any problems. The schools used their names and birthdates to identify them.

If you are very interested in attending Michigan, I would call asap and clear it up. I know of students who have had their financial aid packages held up because they left SS# off of all apps. Good luck.
