too late to join clubs?

I'm in 9th grade and the 1st (of 2) semeter is 2/3's over, In the beginning I didn't know about any clubs but now I've found some that I like, is it too late to go out for them?
(also doing baseball) I don't know if this varies from school to school

How would anyone here know? Join the clubs that you like, shed the ones you lose interest in, join more. But don't join them because you think it makes you look good. Don't be a resume padder

Definitely try out now. You're only a freshman, this is your year to explore.

The only time it would be too late would be like Junior/Senior year. At that point it just looks like application padding.

I clicked on this post hoping to laugh at a hapless senior. You have plenty of time to find out what clubs you'll excel. Find out who the facilitators for your specific clubs are and see if you're able to start attending meetings.

LOL. I thought you'd be a senior with like a month or two before apps are due.

Relax. You're fine.
