^When you say undecided, the school accepts the fact that you might go for an easy major or a harder one to get into later. No big deal.
People change majors all the time. You're 17/18 years old; IMO, if you all know exactly what you want to do the rest of your lives, that's a scary thought.
meadow is right, your friends can put down (for example) Classics as an intended major, but unless they have the coursework, ECs, etc. to support that claim, it's worthless, or possibly even negative if it's too obvious that they're just trying to game the system.
