SAT IIs

What is a good score for the literature subject test if I'm aiming for selective schools like Duke, Georgeotown, Cornell?
I'm deciding whether to retake the lit test I took today.

700+ preferably. Perfect if you could get 750+.

I never really understand this. Wouldn't you aim for 800?

If your question asked, "Is 700 a good score for selective schools like Duke, G'town, Cornell?" That's a yes/no answer. If you want to know a 'good' score, it's 800. If you want to know an appropriate score range, that's 700-750.

800, lol.

It won't hurt to get 750+.

700-750 would be alright but might look a bit bad. Still, no point in retaking it.

Below 700...retake it...

@limabeans: The OP has already taken the test. While he/she doesn't know what he/she scored yet, they could have a general sense of what they have.
