Does Summer School look good on college applications? or will it hurt my chances?

I currently have a 3.0/4.0 and a 3.3/5.0 however, if i take summer school classes, i can retake a class i did poorly on when i moved, and replace it with the grade this year, i really want to bring up my GPA, even if that means taking a summer course but will that help or hurt my college admission chance???

sounds like you should take the summer class.

If you have a 3.0/4.0, summer activities won't help college chances so you should do everything you can to improve your record.

It depends on the schools policy. I know at my school when you recieve an F for a class you have the opportunity to take it over. If you get a better grade then the F is no longer averaged in your GPA. But still on your transcript. But if you want to just boost your GPA and you have the money then you should.

BTW whats your definition of poorly?
