Let's get something going here!

My D is applying to C of C regular decision. From the northeast, and would love some info about life in general in Charleston and at the college, specifically.

My D applied early action by November 1 but has not heard anything yet. One of her friends who was recruited for soccer has been accepted already.

Charleston is a great place to live. The food is pretty good and the shopping is nice, though a bit pricey sometimes. Definitely not as many options as a big city, but a very friendly place overall.

My d is a junior and she is very interested in c of c. We will be visiting during her spring break. I hope that it will not be the same week as spring break for c of c. She would like to meet someone in the education dept. Does anyone have any info on the ed dept?

D applied regular decision, changed her mind, and called admissions after early action closed and asked to be considered early. She just got her acceptance!
ACT:26
GPA:3.8
Did people get merit scholarships along with admissions letters?

D was early action. 1150 SAT, 3.6 GPA, top 25% of the class, non-SC resident. We're very glad she got in don't know if she would have made it RD. I think they notify about scholarships after January 15. Congrats to all!

Congrats to everyone getting in!! About Charleston, I've been in the city quite a bit and I LOVE it, I would be happy to spend 4 years there. To me, it's big enough to have pretty much everything you need but yet small enough that small town people (like me!) don't feel overwhelmed. To be honest, I feel safer walking around Charleston than I do walking around our little one horse town in Ohio!

I just heard back yesterday! I got in as well! Were scholarships announced with acceptances or do we find out later if we get them? Where is everybody from who got in?

Financial Aid/Scholarships

I received scholarship info on Christmas Eve, about a week after I found out I was accepted at the Honors College. Received the Presidential Scholarship (full tuition), very excited-- C of C is at the top of my list!!!

33 ACT
3.9 GPA
Rank 25 out of 397 (top 10%)
Non-SC resident

Anyone with info on living arrangements? What's the most popular residence hall?
