Graduation rates?

We visited CoC and my son really liked it, but I am VERY concerned about their dismal retention and graduation rates compared to other schools. Any thoughts on why this is so? Seems like a great school with a beautiful campus, why are people leaving?

You ask an excellent question atenkass. I wish somone would answer it. The same thing has been of some concern to me. A related question to add: How much do the kids at College of Charleston like/love the school and being there?

My son's best friend is a freshman there and would like to transfer out. For him, it has to do with reputation and academic rigor. He didn't get accepted to anyplace else and so is going there by default. He wants something with a better academic reputation.

But he does feel it's a beautiful campus, and he likes the kids.
