Applied RD, but accepted early...?

So I applied Regular Decision to CofC and wasn't supposed to hear back until Feb, but got my acceptance letter about a week ago. Does this mean anything? I'm really banking on some merit money, are those letters sent out later? Also, how hard is it to get into the Honors College? I've heard it's a really good program but don't know my chances...any tips?
Thanks!

Congratulations on your Early Notification acceptance to CofC. Merit money decisions will not come out until after the New Year. The Honors Colllege is competitive to get into. Tough to say whether you will get in or not without knowing your stats. Did you apply for Honors already?
