Merit scholarship info

Anyone have any idea when those who are already accepted will find out about any merit awards?

Im pretty sure they are finishing up the packets and will be mailing them out soon. Do you read the CofC admission blogs?...they are helpful.

I just checked my CougarTrail account and saw that they had updated it. You have to look under the financial aid section where it says "accept awards." I checked my CofC webmail account, and it was NOT on there.

Sons merit award was on the Cougar Trail today. Yup, check awards section. This is the first time you can use the 2008-2009 dates.

OOps, yes, make that 2009-2010.
I don't think my son is checking the CofC email. They didn't send an email to his regular email address.

STATS:
31 ACT composite
3.82 Weighted GPA. Unweighted is similar as only 3 AP's included.
4 AP's this school year

This was a nice, safe school for him. Has one of the majors he wants but not the major he will likely pursue so I doubt he'll attend or even give it consideration. Son got into top one of his top 3 choices. Waiting on those other 2 which I expect him to get in. Will wait for merit awards on those 2 are expensive private schools.

Good luck to all.

$7250, which is OK since it is a state school.
Academic plus presidential scholarship.

We got the ~$7,500 award. Not enough for us since we are OOS. Clemson award was much more generous.

For those who asked......OOS.

Just peachy- The blog stated it could take them until sometime in March to get all the scholarships up on the website, so just keep checking. Can you get on to 2009-10?
