Phoenix, I haven't had that problem with any web sites while using firefox. It might just be bad HTML on the web pages, or you might want to try messing around with the font size settings some more.

I hate IE7. It's so much slower than Firefox and any other browser.

I use IE7 primarily on my laptop. Firefox needs to have MHT support built in, saving entire web pages in one file is a lot better than saving web pages the old fashioned way, with the HTML file and a big old folder full of images and junk.

Furthermore, I like how I can visit a page in IE7, and then view it offline easily, I haven't found anyway to do that in Firefox. And I like how I can pull things straight from the cache folder in IE7, instead of Firefox, where it's not organized nicely and I can't sort my items.

On my desktop, however, I use mostly Firefox, except for a few web sites which render better on IE7. And also, if I visit most of my school's websites with Firefox, my computer will reset after I close the window or tab.

Someone who has a legitimate reason to use IE over Firefox! Though I don't use IE, I can definitely see why you'd not prefer firefox for this purpose.

You can easily view things offline in Firefox: File|Work Offline
Similar to IE. Unless things have changed in IE for the better... I wouldn't know, I haven't used it in a while.

Opera does all of that stuff, there's no excuse for using IE7.

Hmm, thanks for the tip. I tried it out and it worked! I guess I never clicked "Work Offline" before (Firefox doesn't ask you like IE does).

Firefox is a great tool and I think youre smart to keep BOTh on the system. The main reason IE is slower is that more companies load the carp on it. All those toolbars and ad ins, and "helpers" actually slow everything down. If it were stripped, you would need electronic measurement to tell the difference. Firefox extensions slow down firefox too. I recommend having BOTH on EVERY system.

Dont think of IE and firefox as competitors, think of them as partners doing the same job.
