Asus

How is it as a brand? They seem to have some really powerful laptops for cheap but I have never heard of them before. What kind of reputation do they have, and is it worth getting one?

I think it's a pretty good brand, they are better known for their motherboards and video cards though I think.

I am currently typing on an Asus G1s. This thing is workhorse and outperforms most laptops out there. The bad this is that in order to do this it suffers in battery life and gives off alot of heat.

I know they released a smaller notebook that looked quite good. If you can find one with good battery life get it. Their performance is great.
