When should you get a Labtop for college

So, I'm in 12th grade and I was just wondering when is the best to time to invest in a labtop. Is it better to get it early like between Dec. and March. or wait till May or June to get one. Also, I heard you can get a discount through the school you got accepted into. Is this true?

Wait until the summer before you go to college, there are always many back to school sales and you'll get a better computer for cheaper because the technology would have become cheaper in the few months that you've waited. Many schools do offer computer deals through their IT programs, many times these are good deals that come with great 4 year warranties including accidental damage. At my school all you have to do is bring your computer to the IT department and they'll fix it for free if it was bought through the school.

Also good to wait until you know where you are going to college since they may require a specific configuration. Buying too early in your h.s. senior year offers no advantage.

No worries, all your laboratory sections in college will come their tops pre-furnished.
