2GB of Ram in netbook?

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with installing 2GB of Ram in a netbook. Not the installation process, but rather the difference it makes in the computer performance. I know it really only affects multitasking primarily and will not make the computer faster, but i'd like to know if spending the extra $50 on 2GB of ram would be a good idea. I've got an Asus 1101HA running windows 7 and will be taking it with me back and forth as i commute to college. I'll be using it for notes and small tasks which really doesn't constitute buying the extra ram, but just for curiosity's sake i'd like to know of anyones experiences with the addition. Thanks Alot, Mike.

It will only make the computer faster if you don't have enough RAM in the first place.

Do you ever have any tasks that cause the netbook to grind to a halt? That's when your computer's out of RAM and has to resort to the much slower (on the magnitude of 100 times) hard disk to store all the volitale information that it needs in order to do its task(s).

If your netbook has sufficient RAM, then you won't notice anything from an upgrade.

For your tasks, 1GB is plenty. In fact, even 512MB would suffice.
