Important need help

I am taking Algebra 2 this year and am already confused in the class and it's only the first week of school. I have a tutor once a week. I do not think I will achieve in this class because I know that math has always been my struggle.

If I drop Algebra 2 will there be any chance I could still apply to a California State school or are there any schools that you don't have to have completed Algebra 2 in highschool?

I know that in most colleges you have General Education classes and Algebra 2 is one of them but some schools don't have GA requirements.
Are there a lot of schools that don't require GA requirements?

And if I don't do Algebra 2 will my chances in having a career in the medical field be over?

PLEASE HELP BY ANSWERING ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS ASAP

If Algebra II is a struggle, then you will need to re-evaluate your career plans, to put it mildly.
