College Harassment

I don't really know where best to put this, so I hope this is appropriate enough.
I have ben receiving mail from a college for over a year, but lately it has moved up to being harassing. I never contacted them for more information, gave them my mail or any telephone numbers. However, I have received still more mail, emails to two email addresses (one of which I only give the address for to close friends and family), and phone calls. HOW CAN I MAKE THIS STOP? Do I contact admissions and request that they stop, or something else? Any advice would be wonderful!

Scroll down to the bottom of the email. There should be a link or button to unsubscribe (as required by federal law). Make sure the email is from an actual college, and not some phisher/trojan.

You tell them not to call you when you get a phone call.... verbally.

I think you can accomplish two good deeds in this situation. I would write the director of admissions and explain that you would like the communications to stop and also that you have found the level of communication to be over the top and annoying. This should get it to stop and maybe let the schools see the affect of their communication strategy.

(PS - do not attack the school when describing the communications use the "when -it makes me feel" description ... something like ... when your schools constantly emails, call, ans snail mails me it makes me feel uncomfortable and harassed.

Writing to the director is a good option at last if they continue after verbal request. This is not only collage, even lot's of company of insurance and advertisement also do in same manner. They throw 4 to 5 mail per day and phone call. this situation become really makes me feel uncomfortable and harassed.

I did that to The King's College. They didn't stop. I tried to report them for a Do Not Call registry violation but apparently they're exempted from it. I also mailed back SEVERAL of the pieces of mail they sent me, still nothing. There's no unsubscribe link on their e-mails.

Flag it as spam. Or your email service may have some way for you to block mail from even reaching your spam folder from certain senders.

I've done that, it doesn't help the influx of mail or the harassing phone calls.
