just moved to Los Angeles.

I now live in LA. I got to a CC here because I couldn't afford the college that accepted me. I've been here 3weeks and it seems really hard to meet new people or at least college students. Does anyone know where I can join a sports team ? Or a club ? I don't really know anyone here, and I really don't know my way around the city.

Uh, ask around.

A community college isn't really a social place to begin with. Talk to people in your classes.

hey man! I also just moved to LA about a month ago. I also attend a cc here and I believe we're in the same boat. I've met a few friends so far, but establishing a totally new social life out of a cc is proving difficult. which cc do you attend? and if you're looking for some possible friendships, well I am too.

@Caldud I know a CC isn't a place to socialize, especially mine. I'll adjust to LA its not that hard. I'm just trying to find out where I could meet college students and network.

I would suggest that you look for a part-time job. You will likely become friends with your co-workers.

Even at a CC in Los Angeles it is possible to make friends. Just start talking to people in your classes. Ask them about LA and the things to do and maybe suggest hanging out sometimes.

I suggest looking into the Philosophy club at your cc. I'm a freshman at my cc and the philosophy club is helping me get my feel for college plus theres fun and educated people to talk to! And I'm sure you'll adapt, L.A is pretty fun c:
