Diving has been a problem for a while now...especially now at the WC with refs giving out cards to players whom they deem dive. I remember watching the Netherland game and, I believe it was Robben, got tripped up in the penalty box...nothing too noticeable..just a clip of the foot and he got carded cuz the ref thought he was diving. haha, but Figo dived for that Ronaldo penalty kick in Portugal's first game, you all had to see that.

But I find it funny that Cantona of all people is talking about playing fair on these Joga Bonito commercials, as illustrated throughout his career.

I didn't realize it was Eric Cantona until I read it...the only shots of him I remember, he had a shaved head. That beard and those locks certainly threw me off.

It's hard to say what can be done about diving short of having a FIFA commission review every game carefully to look for diving, and fine or suspend players who are seen to be doing it.
