question about printing stuff on pens/pencils

I'm trying to help advertise a forum where I am a moderator. How do you get things printed on pens/pencils? I see customed made pens/pencils a lot. How/where do they get them made? Does anyone have any ideas?

At my work, we just called a printer and he made them for us. If they can't make them, they should know someone who does.
