8: Probably not, this is the only one where I would rely on social good.
For all of these, do the objects die otherwise if I don't choose to save them because...
9: If I didn't "sacrifice" myself, and all the animals died... then everybody on the planet would probably die in the end too. So this question is flawed.

2. Depends on the state of things. If my death could spark a movement towards peace & tranquility (unlikely), then yes. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
