What do people mean when they make a statement like that?I see it thrown around on this board a lot when people are trying to make a case for one school over another but they never go into specifics. Wouldn't the "strong academics" be entirely based on how well professor "x" can teach/lecture? So why the generalizations about schools?Or is it just another way of saying "I like this school because it received a higher ranking on USNWR therefore because its ranking = better academics"
More challenging, more demanding, the workload is heavier, the teacher-student ratio and class sizes are great, more opportunities for research, a more intellectual environment overall, etc.
