Those limits are a bit loose, from what I can tell. I think it will take more even if you just type it in the space. But keep in mind that admissions officers don't want to read a novel with your application.

I'm not saying anything else in this post.

Of course not, but I find it sort of strange that the limit is in characters rather than in words. I've looked at the paper form of the common app before, and I don't think it gave the limit in characters... I don't know.

I finished Lord of the Flies.

Maybe I'll replace Rice with UChicago. I've been rethinking Texas anyway.

I would rethink Texas too.

Lord of the Flies is a horrible book. It was almost unbearable, but little special things made me survive.

I am officially at page 45 of Crime and Punishment. This is a draining read. And I can't remember any of the names because they're so similar in that they all end in -ov or -ova. Horrible.

It was okay. The ending was contrived. I should write that in the many essays I have to write about it.

Now to read Crime and Punishment. I wanted to finish all my homework before my surgery but I don't think that's going to happen.

I rethought Texas. It probably would have been fine, but I couldn't pull the trigger.

Capitol, Washington Monument tomorrow, Fireworks day after.

Rice is just so nice though. So nice. But Texas isn't, it really isn't.

I like the fireworks on post.

Right Round by Flo-Rida is ridiculous.

As are fireworks.

You will probably finish Crime and Punishment before me.

The fireworks on the National Mall are pretty fantastic, I must say.

Rice is very nice. If only it weren't in Texas.

Kung Fu movies are the best.

Right Round is a travesty.

UChicago or Rice. Obamaland or Bushland. What a choice.

The right choice is obvious.

I desperately want to get into Yale. I think my essays will be the deal-breaker. I must make them bangin'.

You can't just commission the word bangin' like that. That's my word.

I suppose the choice is obvious then. But Rice was so nice! Owls! OWLS!

Chicago>Houston, in my obviously biased opinion. I still think you should apply to Northwestern, especially if you want to be a screenwriter. We have all sorts of theater and writing stuff goin on.
