I really do think that summer is making me insane. If I'm this loco at the beginning of July, I don't want to think about my mental state in September.

School starts September 2, here.

I just reserved Stephen Hawking's book from the library. I've become a fiend with reserving things. But it's good, it forces me to read everything quickly.

September 29. Pshaw.

I went to Borders to try to buy some more Spanish stuff, and after hunting all over the store for the shelf that they stuck in the social sciences section, I decided that I didn't want to read any of what they had.

There are French bookstores here, and there's a Spanish one. I get all of that kind of thing from the library, though.

I got my IB results this morning. I am content.

I got my nothing this morning and I am neither content nor discontent.

I'm sure there is some bookstore that has a better selection in downtown Toledo or something, but I basically never go there for anything. The library's foreign language offerings include Spanish and French dictionaries, and that's about it.

However...

Chicago Chicago Chicago Chicago Chicago.

My parents said if I planned a reasonably-priced trip, we can go on vacation anywhere over Christmas. So. All I've got is San Diego. Where else?

That sounds incredibly boring. The US is way too big for that.

I think you should go to Toronto, where you can "marvel at the nothingness," as you would say. Do you all have passports?

I think my vacation is going to be moving to Chicago in September.

No passports. Not Canada. Once you've seen Niagara Falls, you've seen it all.

Yeah, Canada. I went there.

Okay. Is this supposed to be for college visits, or just a vacation? Boston is hard to beat for college visits, even if you don't plan on going to any of them there.

What would you do in San Diego that's so special? That would be a better winter vacation than a summer one.
