Like just brightly colored ones. I guess I should get some that are winter-friendly. In Ohio, I managed to get through the winter with regular tennis shoes, even though I had to walk through the snow to get to school. As long as one brushes it off before going inside, the shoes stay dry. But I'll probably be doing more walking.

Walk through snow? Hahahah. That never happens in Tennizzle, because snow melts when the sun comes out.

Fine if you like them. I'm going to be a hipster when I grow up. |

I do. And they're cheap. But I feel like I've been spending too much money lately. I have a nice and steady paycheck, but I like to save it all.

Ugly.
They should not be worn for anything other than athletic activities.

Yeah, they're almost like cleats.
About 80% of the people I know wear hipster shoes. Kind of crazy.

I suppose, but I thought that would give me better traction on the ice? They probably shovel sidewalks in Chicago, but I'm not really used to such snow removal techniques, as they don't happen in Ohio.

I love the name Razumikhin.
And I love summer, for the umpteenth time.
So, kiddies, I am avoiding starting my college apps. I filled out all the easy stuff, like contact information, test scores, etc. The rest is a bubble of uncertainty. I need to spend an entire day thinking about what to write, and trying to write something, and then tire myself out and then get a stroke of inspiration at around 1 AM and then write with mad skillz until 3:30-4. It always works that way.

Canadian, when you read Crime and Punishment, do you understand the significance of the names? I'm guessing that there are a lot of similarities in words between Croatian and Russian, and I do know that the names used in there, especially surnames, often have significance. For instance, razum is something like the Russian word for reason, or at least that's what the notes in my version said.
I have 68 pages left in Cien años, and I have no desire to finish it.

Let's not talk about Croatia.
If I work for the NSA I should learn Korean. Damn my lack foresight, you know?

"Razum" means "reason" in Croatian, and I'm assuming it's the same in Russian. I haven't really noticed special meanings to most of the names, so I guess they don't all translate to Croatian. Much of what I do notice is kind of insignificant, though. "Dunya," for example, is the Croatian word for a type of berry.
Why would you want to work for the NSA?

Major in something tech-related and you can do either.
I read something about raskol being something like these groups of rebels who wandered around Russia to flee government oppression, but what the notes said about that confused me.
