The word "California" should probably give it away.

Doesn't mean they know it. The average American knows schools by their athletic programs.

Dartmouth is in NEW HAMPSHIRE people. It makes me so sad that no one knows my state...or where it is sometimes.

In Massachusetts, unless you're a stereotypical Asian, people assume "Dartmouth" means UMass Dartmouth, which is nowhere near as good as Dartmouth College.

I know a girl who thinks Rhode Island is a town in Connecticut or Massachusetts, forget Brown University.

There's also an Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in addition to California University of Pennsylvania. Same deal.

Many of these I can name off the top of my head, and I bet others could do. I'm not looking at ivy league.

However, Brown and Yale I will never get straight.
