| Why Can't I Find An Average Student On This Site?
I'm looking at Stats profiles and.....
I can't find a kid who has....
B-/C/D GPA
1500ish SAT I
500ish SAT IIs
21ish ACT
no APs or Honors classes
only are in a few clubs and sports, but they don't have a leadership position in it.
has no awards or anything
aren't applying to one or more Ivy leagues!!!!!!
Find me a student with these stats, because I am tired of overachievers, including myself.

You can find these people all over the place. Why do you want to find one on this site?

Average students don't need a site like this. Most students get into their first choice college because they apply to colleges that accept the majority of their applicants or they apply to community colleges that accept everyone with a high school diploma or GED. Most students also go to college within 250 miles of home. It's only students who want to get into very competitive colleges that are going to be looking for a site like this where they can get detailed info about being competitive for colleges across the country that are the most difficult to gain admission to.

I agree with Northstarmom. But what you can also do is look up the schools you're interested that are more "average," and find people who posted stuff there, but yes, the majority of people on this forum are going to be the people worried about getting into HYPSMC and the like.

i'm pretty average. about 1800s. A/B student. I only started taking honors junior year (all honors, 1 AP). Freshmen and Sophomore year were all regular. I got a silly history award sophomore year though. No varsity sports, just a few clubs, no leadership (though I may run for something next year)
Brown is the only Ivy I am/might applying to, I'm hoping my essays/recs can really push me up top. But other than that just a bunch of East Coast LACs/publics.
I'm hoping to get my SATs/GPA up though. |

Tell me about it...
I wish the forums were a bit more diverse. Having a 3.7 and 1300 SATs doesnt really put me up there in the Ivy League. Seems like everyone on here is applying to HYPS and a bunch of other Ivys.

I'm here
-1810 SATS
-not even THINKING about the Ivy League
-OK grades...mostly As/Bs, but a couple Ds:/
-not a ton of ECs...but the few I have are pretty good
So yeah, I'm a pretty average student..and I know what you're talking about! It seems like everyone here is 2400/4.0/HYPSM...

Because, honestly...
We all fit the definition of being nerds and overachievers. That's the only reason why we're on this site in the first place.

This is a perfect example of the madness I'm talking about in my other thread. Everyone describes themselves via numbers and symbols.
As for me, I'm 4.3237 and I got a 2.3446@-- on my ZDAS. I'd say I'm about average!
(Oh yeah, I got 3 on my WELPS oh well, guess I'll have to settle for being a less important human than the ones that go to Brown! Guess I'll have to set my sights real low in life now! Because of my WELPS score!)
