Has anybody else on CC noticed that the people here are all "me, me, me, me me!"

Its never "what can I do for the college that is going to accept me and how can I learn to be a better person and give back to society and help others less fortunate?"

Its all, 'HELP ME HELP ME.....I HAVE 2300 SAT AND CANT FIND A COLLEGE!" What a bunch of garbage.

Extreme narcissism.

I wouldnt WANT to go to college with THOSE people if you PAID me. (and all the adults on here who give relentless ridiculous and elitist statistics to feed these narcissists more fuel.)

NONE OF THEM.

I would much rather help out kids with lower scores who want to make a difference in society and help people and aren't all wrapped up in THEMSELVES and whether they get into Stanford or Harvard or Princeton or UNAME IT University.

Sorry. That is my rant.

Is this argument based on pathos or logos?

If it bothers you that much, don't visit this site. Seriously, why get all worked up over something you can control?

Seriously? What do you expect people to be anxious about? This site isn't representative of what posters are like in real life, this is a place to vent, rant, and wonder. People here just want reassurance or advice. What's so wrong with that? Sure some posters probably are narcissists, but most people are just more self-centered online and if it actually bothers you that much, find a forum about becoming a better person, not about nervous high school kids letting out a bit of stress.

That is my rant.

Have you noticed how members help each other find colleges? How 90% of comments on "chance" threads are supportive and polite? How people routinely post one thread and comment on twenty others? Somebody needs a chillllll pilllllll.

So the thread complaining about selfishness is actually a rant. How ironic.

I'm pretty sure that everyone that hasn't founded a religion does that.

^I don't know if Scientology would count.

Seriously though, the OP does have a point. We are a nation of narcissists, and becoming more so by the minute. This site is just the epitome of that.

However, I'd be more than happy to whip all of you narcissists in line anytime

You have to realize that a vast majority of human beings, not just those on CC, lack humanity, empathy, and reason.

Are you like one of those creepy Christian type people that puts everyone before them and is ungodly nice? If you are I wouldn't want to go to school with you either.

Some people are just idiots and need there ego stroked, on the other hand their really are some naive people on here with great stats and don't think they can get into an Ivy/Top Uni/LAC.

OP, stop whining. I'm sure there's someone out there who wouldn't go to college with you if THEY WERE PAID. And btw, I'm an average person on here, yea I get that it is annoying to see the same 2350 and 4.0 uw but that's CC get used to OR GET THE FUDGE OUT.
