Please help!

i'm in a class that meets twice a week and there is a girl that i'm rather fond of. There isn't much time left in the semester, or so it seems like from my perspective. my thought was to talk to her as much as possible (that's going well so far) and wait till the end to ask her if, ya know. she wanted to do something. but the thing is, although im good with a group of people, which is the setup of the class, im bad with people one on one. im extremely nervous. like i'll be really funny in class, but in no way does it transfer to one on one contact except for my close friends. im really at my wits end here. help me out guys!

Why don't you invite her out with a group of people at first? Once you get more comfortable with her, you'll be able to be yourself around her in a one-on-one setting. Then, you can start hanging out with her alone.
