List of largest universities by size of alumni base

...is what I'm looking for. Please help me. I tried googling "list universities number alumni" without luck.

I heard that UMich is #1 in # of alumni, and I would like to know #2, #3, and so on up to #10

Then why is UMich # 1 in alumni? Maybe it's been around for a longer time?

reilly, OSU has 39,000 undergrads, vs 26,000 at Michigan. And Michigan has 16,000 graduate students vs 10,000 at OSU. Since graduate students graduate more quickly and at a higher rate, it makes sense that Michigan has a proportionately larger alumni network. Also, OSU's undergraduate graduation rate is 70% vs 88% at Michigan. That does not signify that Michigan has the largest alum base, but it does explain why it is possible for a school to have a smaller undergraduate student population and still have a larger alumni base.

So Umich is not #1 in alum base?

Alumni base size is very difficult to define. I would say that Michigan definitely has one of the largest, but other schools like UT-Austin, OSU, PSU etc... have large alumni bases too. Which university has the largest is hard to prove. So listing the 10 largest alumni bases in order is next to imposible. The schools I lised definitely have among the 10 largest, but the order can vary and the difference between them would be marginal.

Idk if anyone watches the big ten network like i do but according to Archie Griffin and the ohio state alumni association commercials, there are 400,000 living alumni of The Ohio State University.

If that helps anyone, it's just a fact i remember from those commercials.

Michigan has over 400,000 living alums. Other than the schools I listed previously, I would add UIUC, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Florida, Texas-A&M and several others that have alumni networks in the 400,000 range.

Among private universities, I would assume that Havard, Columbia, Cornell, Penn and USC all have among the largest alumni networks.
