"What are my chances?" Trend

I'm noticing an interesting trend:

Let x represent cumulative SAT score
Ley y represent UW GPA

lim x -> 2400
lim y -> 4

Number of posts = 100 * 1/(x+y)

In other words, high SAT scorers don't post

shouldn't it be (x+ay) with a being some constant? Otherwise GPA seems a bit too insignificant....
