Wearing a hijab in personal statement?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
Can I use the fact that I wear the hijab in my essay, like how it changed my life, struggles and whatnot? would they find it weird? I KNOW they don't use biased opinions but still, it's nice to have an idea.
If your essay is based solely on wearing a hijab then it would really not be a good college essay. If you describe a time when it caused you trouble and HOW you overcame it and how it made you a better person, then it might be a good college essay. They would not find it weird, as I'm sure many people write about it. But you also don't want to give them a reason to not accept you, so be careful. Also, make sure it doesn't sound like whining.
