Should I cite my sources for my "Why ______ university" essay?

I'm writing my "Why _____ university" essays, where I use evidence from various websites (college board, **************, the college's website, college *******, ect) and from talking to students at the schools and I have some stats and numbers to back my claims (students taking a certain amount of a major, student faculty ratio, average job offers upon graduation ect). Do u think I should say where I get my info from in my essay? (Like, after each fact, or as a footnote) so the college knows I'm legitimate and not making my facts up? Or should I just state the facts and numbers and just assume the college will be ok with it?

I don't think you should overload your answer with data in the first place. The admissions officers already know the information about their own institution. They don't want you to tell them what they are like. They want you to tell them why you are a good applicant for the kind of place they are, and what you will add to make it a better, more vibrant, more interesting place than it already is.

You certainly don't need footnotes!

But the use of numbers reflects a lot about his/her personality...

it's not that, its just that i am actually a gap year student and i am applying to a different university than that which i originally selected during my senior year. im comparing numbers to show why the new school i am applying to is better than the one i selected originally.

also a point that i make in my essay is that i am a reasearch junkie and base a lot of my opinions on collected reasearch and comparing.
