This how probably been asked hundreds of times, but I do not know how to write about it. How do I write about adversity that stopped me from doing my best in my academic career. Help?
What's the prompt? Does it simply ask you to explain the circumstances? If so, you don't need to worry about writing a flowery, personality-revealing essay like the one you'd write for the common app. I'd start just by explaining the bare facts, which would help me realize what it is I really want to say. Then I'd try to flesh it out a little.
