When posting to College Confidential, please assume that college admissions people and high school principals are reading your posts. If you post an essay, anyone can read and copy it. All posts to the Internet can be seen and copied by anyone who has a computer.

A more cautious approach to getting an opinion of your essay would be to ask a well-respected poster if they would read and comment on your essay---and then handle the matter via Private Message or email.

Think about security before you post... on College Confidential or any other place on the web.
