writing college essays

yeah ive applied to several schools already and i had to give them my essays... turns out that my essays are inconsistent with the "personal feel" to them and this may hurt me tremendously. should i choose essay topics that lean towards a personal story or ones that i seem to do better in (nonpersonal)

yeah college essays are where you "sell yourself" to the college in a way of speaking. its the chance for the adcoms to see what you are in addition to your scores and transcripts.

if you read the essay prompts, they almost ALWAYS lead you in the right "personal feel" direction.
