Essay Mistake! AHHHHH

Yesterday i sent in my common app at the same time to all my schools, but forgot to change the college name in my main essay. It goes like, "..a college campus, like Williams..." and the Williams part has been sent to Midd, Pomona, Bowdoin, and all my other schools! I've emailed all of them, apologizing profusely, but will this hurt my chances pretty badly. Oh, i'm so ****ed off at myself.

aabar - to bad. Is good that you apologized. Unfortunately, as you know, schools often mention this particular issue as a pet peeve. Talk to your guidance counselor to see if there is any chance the schools would accept a corrected essay. Good Luck.
