Dont know what to write about for UC prompt

For the UC essay prompt that asks "How have you taken advantage of the educational opportunities you have had to prepare for college?", I just can't think of anything to write.

I wasn't smart enough for COSMOS or any of those nerd programs. It seems so bland just to say "Oh yeah I took x AP class. It taught me hard work and perseverance". (boring!..unless that actually works) Any ideas?

Well, have you taken advantage of the educational opportunities available to you? Maybe the answer is that you just didn't....

Have you read a book that you didn't have to? Did you research something you were required to? Have you done anything that has made you a more educated person in the past few years? If so, write about it.

Also, isn't this a topic for Winter/Spring 2008 applicants, and not Fall 2008 applicants?
