Is this too long?
How long is the common app essay supposed to be at its maximum. I just wrote my rough draft essay and it is 759 words...i feel that it is too long.

around 500 words is usually considered ideal, but depending on the essay more or less can be pulled off. In the short amount of time, the readers have to read your essay, if it is a bit on the long side, you should make sure it is good enough to keep the reader interested and not disappointed and slightly mad at the waste of extra words and time spent...
