I've started writing many essays about some of my experiences, one of them is pretty decent but I'm still not satisfied with it. I want to write a new one.
Do you think it would be appropriate to write an essay titled "Things I would like you to know about me" and write about some of my idiosyncrasies and thoughts about specific things that would show how I see the world and think?
I think I can write a decent essay about this, but I'm not sure if the topic is appropriate for a college applicaton. What do you think?
I think any essay will do as long as:
(1) it reveals something about you that your application does not;
(2) answers 'yes' to the question: 'Am I the only one who could honestly write this essay?'
To add to the post above me, it will work as long as the essay is coherent, and doesn't just read like a list of unrelated things. (And I would choose a different, more creative title.)
However, I think it would be best to choose just ONE of the idiosyncracies/thoughts and expand on that. Otherwise, you may not be going into enough detail.
