So a couple months back I went to an open call for the Broadway show Spring Awakening and got a callback, where I met the girl who eventually made the show. When I saw the show a month and a half later, she was understudying the female lead for her first time. The essay is how I learned to deal with rejection and my intense love of the performing arts. Oh Neevs! I would love to see a well-written essay on this topic. Properly written, it could contain both pathos and joy. You sound like you won't be wallowing in "I was just as good as the Lead!" That's great. I'd love to read it if you'd care to pm me.
