Essay about ungreatfulness

Would an essay writing about how I used to be ungreatful, and not exactly appreciate all that I had until a certian event (small, seemimgly insignificant event) made me appreciate..or does that seem too "brat" like?

i think that wouldn't make you sound too "brat" like. In fact, i think admission officers would rather read those types of essays because they actually sound like you personally wrote it. (in contrast to Done By Daddy essays).

yea colleges always have the option of "write about an experience or an external influence in your life that caused you to be who you are today/think differently" you essay fits right in that category
