Religion too Risky???

Last year I wrote a reflection on my religious faith....its about how I have been enriched by the diverse backgrounds of my closests friends, how I have come to appreciate the many options in faith, how I was "born" Catholic but I always felt that I should continue to explore other religions....the essay culminates in my experience attending an easter vigil at my local parish, and how for once I really appreciated my family's "inherited" denomination....

what do you think?
should religion be avoided???

What you described sounds personal, detailed, honest and revealing. In other words, imo it sounds suitable for a college essay.

The college essay is supposed to be a personal statement, not an argument. As long as you stay personal, and, particularly, you avoid being contentious, political, argumentative, I think that you will be fine.
