To submit or not to submit a second essay? This is the question...

I have a dilemma with optional essays because I am not a good writer, although I do have something to say. Since several colleges ask for optional essays, I was wondering if it is better to submit another essay that reveals something about you which is not stated in any other part of the application, or not to submit one at all. Can an optional essay not very well written do more harm than good? What do you think? Please help me, because I have to start pressing 'Submit'.

If you feel you have something to say, then I would say go for it! Even if you feel you're not a good writer, if you get people to help you, you can have a great essay.

I agree with UR2010; optional essays are available just for this reason: to add something that isn't anywhere else. And there are plenty of people here who are willing to read essays and help critique them, including me!
