What's a good length for the Common App essay? I didn't see a max. Mine is like 750 right now

I'd say a solid length is ~500 words, but if you absolutely need 750 that's fine.

The most important thing to remember is that the longer your essay runs, it becomes exponentially harder to maintain the reader's interest. If you come out extremely passionate and evocative, or if your essay just can't cope without an additional section, by all means keep writing.

I've seen some great 900+ word essays.

Mine, personally, was 614, if that helps!

600-750 words would be good, in my opinion.

Mines 790, I'm trying to cut back..I have one paragraph in there that is "fun" but the essay could do without..but it shows my personality and randomness very well, imo..so I'm keeping it
