Topics of your Choice?

Does anybody feel that there are any negatives from choosing the "Topic of your Choice" essays? Does this choice make you look lazy because you are likely using a topic form a different school?

I wrote an essay that I feel fairly proud of for one college, but the the same topic is not available for my other college. Should I choose the topic of your choice option and use my already completed essay? Or should I write a completely new one?

Thanks for the help!

They wouldn't give you the option of writing an essay on a topic of your choice if they didn't want you to take advantage of it. Go ahead and use the essay that you feel would be best. Good luck!

Plus, lots of people have essays that truly don't fit any of the first five topics.

You can reuse the essay for the topic of your choice. If you believe the essay is good for the other college, you should use it.
