| proofread this bureaucratic letter before it gets sent out Since it's not a college essay, I'll paste it right here:
"Dear MIT Admissions Office,
Attached is a photocopy of my green card. For application tracking purposes, I am an undergraduate applicant of South Portland High School. I hope the Admissions Office will not mind the expiry date on the card -- my family is in the process of getting our cards renewed and we should have our new cards within the year. My permanent residency status never expires -- only the card, as I have been advised, for airport security purposes -- and thus should only be an issue in transiting in and out of the country. As such, I hope this will not be a problem.
Thanks and yours faithfully,
John Riemann Soong"
I just want to make sure I am not sounding arrogant or anything. |
