how imprudent would it be to send in a corrected essay?

Would it be more acceptable if the site of a particular school has been having technical difficulties and you somehow copied and you suspect pasted the wrong version (more primitive) from the wrong google docs window?

I didn't get to proofread the final PDF (no option to), so I don't even know whether I have it right or not.

(grr....)

So long as your sent essay isn't horrendous or radically different from the new one, I doubt it will make or break you.
