Answering "How will acceptance help you in your goals" essay

I've read a lot of advice, advising for the writer to have a distinct voice/personality and to tell a story. How do you go about answering this since its pretty straightforward?

i feel like most of my essay doesn't tell alot about me, is this OK

most of it is reasons why i want to be admitted and what it could do for me. i don't have alot about me personally, like how motivated i am.

YOU SHOULD NOT SEND IN A COLLEGE ESSAY THAT DOESN'T TELL A LOT ABOUT YOURSELF.

you are asked to write the essays so that adcoms CAN get to know you, how you think, and what you want out of college in general and more specifically their college.

furthermore, in a college essay i would not stress over what the college can do for you. stress what you can do for the college. write about why you want to be at this particular school, and make sure that the resons you give are personal.

maybe there is a class that is very uncommon that this school provides, maybe it is a professor.

REMEBER, YOUR ESSAY MUST SHOW SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT IS NOT APPARENT IN THE REST OF YOU APPLICATION.

good luck
