Stuck on transfer essay..Help Please

So I transferred to to my current college( UCSC ), from a community college, wanting to major in Engineering. I was originally denied into engineering because I did not have enough core classes completed, I was going to reapply to engineering after completing them. I found out after being here for 3 weeks I am not able to reapply and am forced to pick a non-engineering major. Dang, the engineering here isn't even that great they are so nit picky because the program is so small, and plus here they pressure students to get in and out of here in 4 years and for transfers 2 years, hence my denial, I would of needed 2.5 - 2.75 years.

After having a lot of time to think things over I am better off transferring to another college, but I am stuck on the transfer essay.

Reasons for transfer:
-Rejection from engineering

-This place seems like a summer camp then college.

-Lack of students who are capable of engaging in an intellectually stimulating conversation.

-Desire smaller/more intimate classes.

-Rather than getting a broad Electrical engineering degree, I want a specialized degree in Bio-electronics or Bio-mechanics, which my school doesn't offer.

There are some more, but for the sake of not boring everyone, you can PM me if you are interested.

So finally here's what I would like a bit of advice on. Which of these would ok to talk about in my essay and which ones are big "NO-NO's".
-I moved around a lot when I was younger, attending different schools, so I have experience in adapting to a change in schools.

-Being the only child, and neither of my parents are degree holders.

-Being diagnosed with a LD at the age of 21. I would study during most of my free time, and be rewarded with C's and D's and couldn't understand why until I finally went somewhere for help.

-Watching my mother, the one woman who I hold responsible for teaching me to be strong and independent, go through numerous facial operations for Melanoma. Which left her in a deep depressive state, and didn't leave the house for an unmentionable amount of time.

-In my initial college search I ruled out private and out-of-state universities, because my parents thought they were a waste of money, when an in state school would be more practical. But now I am only looking at private schools, you get what you pay for in most cases. And with them offering a specialized degree, it eliminates the need for grad school, which saves money in the long run.

The schools I'm aiming for are:
-Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
-Worcester Polytechnic Institute
-Case Western Reserve University
-Stevens Institute of Technology
-Syracuse University
-Rochester Institute of Technology

Hope to hear back with some advice..Thanks=)

Don't dwell on the bad things about where you are, mention those as little as possible. Rather, focus on the good things about where you want to be, and why you will be a good fit at those places.

It's not the topic, it's what you do with the topic. Choose the topic that allows you to write the the most personal, detailed, honest and revealing essay.
