I recently emailed/pmed my essay to around 10 or so to some of the most reliable and 'best essay readers' on this thread, and hands down, no competition, radronomega was the BEST.

His comments and edits were extremely brilliant and professional, almost to the point of non-belief. I HIGHLY, HIGHHLLYYY recommend him. He is absolutely godly and amazing in his help - no debate.

So, instead of doing what I did, and sending it to 10+ essay readers on CC, send it to radronomega, and he will tell you exactly what the others say, except 200 times better, and more indepth.

Good luck everyone!!

Hey there. I'll read your essay, but it should be a near-finished product. If you think "I'm not happy with the introduction/conclusion/etc.", then write several versions and send those too. Be sure to:
**re-read it before you send it. Does it say what you wanted to say? Sound right? Answer the prompt?
**Include your prompt and the schools you intend to send it to. (It makes a difference!)
**Do not PM me. I prefer to send you colorful corrections, which I can do on Word, but not here. Send it to four.years@yahoo.com Yes, I'm legit and have NO interest in doing anything w/ your essay but help YOU. I am a writing teacher and tutor. I totally respect your sharing your essay w/ me.

I sent my essay to 10 of the most reliable editters here, and i recommend debski. He will take the time to edit your entire essay word by word, and was the promptest of editters at least in my case

Already posted, but here are my guidelines:

1. Include your name, schools to which you're applying, and degree programs.
2. Include the prompt for each essay verbatim.

Though I have no professional experience teaching English, I will be a senior at UPenn this fall and got a 790 on the verbal section of the SAT. Likewise, I have been tutoring English (among other subjects) on the side since junior year of high school. As many other editors are wont to do, I enjoy leaving colorful critiques and am a strong advocate of tough love, so don't send anything without having sincerely thought it through and invested at least a marginal amount of energy proofreading and polishing it. I'm happy to read multiple drafts and don't have any prescribed limits, so send away.

I would love to read/critique/edit your essays for you. I give a thorough edit, making grammatical/structural suggestions line-by-line, as well as writing general notes at the end. My method of doing this requires being able to bold and italicize, so I would prefer that you e-mail your essays to me: christine.todd.ct(at)gmail.com.

Also, if you have a specific essay prompt, please include that. If not, please specify as such. Please include the schools for which you are using the essay you're sending me.

I'd like to mention that although I'm happy to read and critique essays, I've recieved perhaps 15 requests in the last few days while (mostly) away from CC. Often they will go without asking me first, and just pasting their essay into the message. I know some people have recommended me as an essay reader, and I'm happy to read them, but this isn't really proper etiquette. My guidelines are going to be explicitly updated here, and due to the sheer volume of requests I'm recieving, those that don't follow said guidelines will be put at the end of the line, or not critiqued at all. My inbox continuously fills up and I don't want this to be unfair, so here goes:
1) Write your name and what prompt you are using (word count as well) at the top. If you want specific questions answered, specify them. If you want me to specifically only critique grammar and spelling, specify it. I rarely recieve an essay that needs only grammar correction. In fact, I don't think I ever have.
2) Do not give me your essay in the body of your request: first, this lacks tact and etiquette (read: its just plain rude to assume that I'm going to say yes); second, it isn't safe. Take extra precautions at all times when leaving sensitive information with anybody you don't know. If someone doesn't reply, how do you know they didn't steal your essay?
3) The proper course of action should be: PM me your request, and if I have time (I will always get back to you, max within a week), I will reply with my email address and request that you send it to me. From there, I will spend time giving it anywhere from one to three reads. If we develop enough of a rapport (your due diligence and enthusiasm required), I will spend more time helping you- whether it be in the form of phone calls, emails, or chats. Most of the CCers are applying to schools in the top 100, so this extra effort is what will set you apart. I won't turn you down because your essay sucks. I will turn you down if you're continuously rude or if you only care about getting someone to rewrite your awful essay for you. Brilliant writing takes hard work from even the most talented, and even harder work from those who don't or who haven't practiced.
