I'm an 09er, but I just received ED acceptance, so I'm done with apps, and ready to help others. I'm a fairly experienced writer, having written commercials and other marketing materials, as well as a few internal corporate-type documents. I've also been editing most of my friends' essays for months, so I'm warmed up and would love to help out with some essays. Just let me know what kind of feedback you're looking for (grammatical errors, stylistic help, general impressions of your essay, etc.) and I'll be glad to assist.

Actually, my time is not as vast as I think. Please stop sending essays for now. The deadline might be coming, but really I prefer having a life. Editing essays on CC doesn't help.

ill have time over this last week of winter break (till about jan 3). im a junior on my high school newspaper and im on course for AP english... not sure if those qualifications are enough but i love writing and editing, and i want to get an idea for myself on what college essays are supposed to be.

I'll have time these next two weeks, due to winter break as well. (I am a Junior) I'm taking AP English Composition if that helps lol..and I've gotten 770 on SAT reading. I think this editing will help both my own skills and your essays, and it would give me an experience as well, so send if you want!

| Well regular decision round I have what....70 kids? And that's
NOT including the ones I turned down for not following instructions.
If I corrected 5 essays for one person and did that with
everyone, it would be...
1) terribly inefficient. Because 80% of the critiques I give are
fundamental, so you can simply re-apply it to your other essays.
Hell, even in the essays i critique I ONLY POINT OUT THE ERROR
THE FIRST TIME I SEE IT. I don't point it out if i see it multiple
times; that's up to YOU to go through. Plus, anyone who's seen
my critiques knows that my critiques are as long as the essay
itself so if i pointed out EVERYTHING it wouldn't fit in the word
document :P.
2) I wouldn't get to you. I'm efficient for a reason . It's called
being smart about this and working on essays your entire Christmas
Day. I need some pity emails :P.
But woohoo, more essays to look at so I'm off! scadoosh!
P.S. Yes, I have a life. My break ends January 9th, annd I'm done
with essays on January 1st. Plenty of time to study for my second
semester classes ^_^ | |
